Metal provides space for artists and thinkers to develop their ideas and further the philosophy of their work. Based at Edge Hill station it hosts exhibitions, events, performances and discussions. An important part of Liverpool’s history, the station is the oldest passenger railway station in continuous use and in its original form in the world. In October 2009 Metal re-opened these spaces to become a place for local people and artists from all disciplines to work and develop ideas. Metal host residencies at their house on Marmaduke Street, in the Edge Hill area of the city.
